Prairie View Golf Club

Excited to play this course for the first time with a buddy from AZ. Really enjoyed our round 7Aug26 8:30a tee time. Staff in pro-shop, starter and clubhouse restaurant staff very nice. Greens in good shape for summer, fairways nice and really nice to hit out of good sand. Not worried about tee boxes, I'm not putting on them. Lots of criticizem of the course but this might be my new favorite public in Indy. Great design good greens fees pricing, tee times spaced appropriately. Courses aren't perfect, grasses take a hit, super and staff doing great job. Buddy from AZ liked it. I'll return to a course if the staff are nice and I found that here. Will definitely be back and spread the word about this nice course.

It is a shame what has happened to Prairie View. For several years, this has been one of my favorite public courses in Indiana. The layout remains great, but the course conditions are pretty sad at this point (mid-July 2026). Tee boxes are beat up. The bunkers are hit and miss. But the greens and surrounds are among the worst I’ve seen in the area (much less from one of the better courses in Indy). I hope they get it figured out soon.

Beautiful but tough course. Back Nine was narrow. Consistently rated as one of the top public courses in Indiana and it lived up to that rating.

Pros: Very nice golf course! Very close to me. The driving range is very nice and I love the putting greens. I'm still learning and this course is great for learning with those amenities and the course itself. Cons: My only complaints are that the bathrooms are port-a-potty's outside due to the renovations of the clubhouse yet the price to play is the same. Also I have been told that I needed to wear a polo and pants when just using the driving range. I get there's a dress code but the employee was very rude. However, managed assured me that they took care of it when I explained it to them.

November 2026, my first time playing this course and being at this establishment... What a great golf course, beautiful layout!! Sand traps are all over and very well placed, I was in multiple lol and the sand was consistent and top notch.... Tons of elevation on the greens with green speeds at a decent speed and the ball rolled true... Driving range has tons of targets and large hitting area... restaurant head great service, great pizza with a brand new pizza oven setup
